Overhead cranes, hoists, gantries, and other lifting equipment are not designed to lift loads with the steel cable inclined. Lifting a load with an inclined steel cable is an extremely dangerous operation and is prohibited in any load handling system. Unfortunately, instructing operators does not eliminate the risk of accidents, whether due to negligence or irresponsibility in taking the risk. Numerous accidents occur daily. To avoid this type of improper operation (lifting the inclined load) and, consequently, avoid accidents, ACR developed the INC-100 Inclination Sensor, which alerts the operator and inhibits the crane’s movements when the steel cable is inclined above the allowed limit.
